Rawlings’ NRG Quantum Plus™ Football Helmet Earns Top Safety Rating

Rawlings’ NRG Quantum Plus™ football helmet has received a 5-star rating from Virginia Tech.

The NRG Quantum Plus™ helmet features Rawlings’ Active Impact Absorption (AIA™) and Heat Exchange™ technologies. It also offers a larger offset with increased Custom Comfort Cushion (C3™) performance in high-impact areas.

The three work together to transfer force and heat away from the athlete’s head while actively and passively absorbing impact without structural breakdown to the lightweight absorption system.

In addition to ranking the NRG Quantum Plus™ helmet, the 2012 Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings™ tested 14 other adult football helmets. The NRG Quantum Plus™ was one of just three to receive 5 stars, awarded because it provides a reduction in concussion risk compared to other helmets.

Rawlings’ NRG Quantum Plus™ is NOCSAE certified.

Additional features are:

• Durable surlyn facemask clips
• Carbon steel wire facemask
• High-impact performance polycarbonate shell
• Stainless steel hardware

Rawlings’ NRG Quantum Plus™ football helmets are available in adult sizes S, M and L and in 16 colors.

Facemasks are included but can also be purchased separately. Small and medium helmets use a regular facemask; large helmets use an XL facemask.
