Rawlings has improved its S100 batting helmet and added new safety accessories for 2011.

Now the S100 helmet features a multiple impact expanded polypropylene (EPP) liner for added protection, plus PORON® XRD™ material. On impact, PORON® XRD™ high-performance molecules create a unique protective shield that can absorb up to 90 percent of the most intense force.

Rawlings new low profile polycarbonate face guards and new Quick Connect face guard assembly technology will be available early September.

Cosmetic improvements to Rawlings helmets include adding a new color—white—to the classic CoolFlo and traditional batting helmet series.

CoolFlo helmets also come in a new soft touch rubberized matte finish available in matte black, matte navy, matte royal and matte scarlet.
