What is the difference in Rawlings' grades of baseballs?
It's a question Rawlings Gear Customer Care representatives are happy to explain.
Rawlings makes three grades of baseballs: Tournament grade, Competition grade and practice balls.
Rawlings' Tournament grade baseballs feature a full-grain leather cover and Extra Inning TechnologyTM for added durability, a cushioned cork center and raised seams for improved grip.
Tournament grade baseballs are a higher quality ball when compared with Competition grade balls. Tournament grade baseballs are made with the same cushioned cork center technology as Major League baseballs.
Official Tournament grade baseballs are used in USSSA, AAU, Little League, Senior Little League, Babe Ruth Baseball, Cal Ripken Baseball, Pony League, Dixie Baseball League (Boys Majors and Youth), Dizzy Dean Baseball and many other leagues.
Rawlings' Competition grade baseballs feature a full-grain leather cover for added durability, a composite cork and rubber center and raised seams for improved grip.
Competition grade baseballs are made with a larger, coated cork center and provide a quality ball for everyday use.
Official Competition grade baseballs are made for USSSA, AAU, Little League, Senior Little League, Babe Ruth Baseball, Cal Ripken Baseball, Pony League, Dixie Baseball League (Youth), Dizzy Dean Baseball and many other leagues.
Rawlings' practice baseballs may have minor cosmetic imperfections but still have a leather cover, cork center and raised seam for better grip and durability. These baseballs are perfect for training or practice to improve your performance in the field.
In addition to Rawlings' grades of baseballs, Rawlings Gear carries special event baseballs to commemorate the game’s greatest moments: the World Series, World Series champions, All Star Game, Home Run Derby, 2009 Twins Stadium, 2008 Closing Shea Stadium and many more. These limited edition baseballs are available at RawlingsGear.com.
Rawlings baseballs can be purchased individually, by the dozen or in buckets.
