Rawlings Improves Its BBCOR Velo Bat

If you want a lower moment of inertia, you'll want Rawlings' BBCOR Velo bat. If you don't know what that is but you still want a lighter bat, you'll want one too.

Rawlings' BBCOR Velo bat (model number BBV3) features the Comp-Lite End Cap, a composite end cap with 36 percent more carbon fiber, lowering moment of inertia (MOI) and increasing bat speed.

In baseball, MOI controls how the bat feels and how fast it will swing for you.

This bat is built using pOp™ barrel technology, or Precision-Optimized Performance™. This technology isolates the weight of the bat in a small region of the barrel, improving bat speed and control.

Add to that a 5150 alloy frame, Rawlings' most durable and highest-performing alloy. Rawlings developed its own metal-forming process to create its 5150 bats. This process allows for precise wall thickness, resulting in maximum pop and the best trampoline effect available.

Made for the high school and college levels, this bat is .50 BBCOR certified.

Look for it at Rawlings Gear in lengths ranging from 31” to 34”, all with a -3 drop.
