Rawlings' Performance Rating S80 Helmet Available With Two-Tone Finish

Among Rawlings' complete line of Performance Rating™ batting helmets is the S80™ with two-tone finish.

Rawlings' 80 MPH two-tone batting helmet (model number S80X2S) features the exclusive COOLFLO® XVI™ helmet design and Heat Exchange™ technologies.

This helmet has dual ear flaps and is made for high school and elite youth players facing pitch speeds up to 80 MPH.

The current NOCSAE® standard equates to 68 MPH baseball pitch speeds. A performance rating of S80 provides added protection and performance to young players just beginning to face advanced pitching in their varsity and travel ball games.

COOLFLO XV1™ front vents allow for 30 percent more cool air ventilation. Heat Exchange™ vents rapidly circulate cooler ambient air. Top vents quickly move heated air from player’s head, allowing 70 percent more heat to escape.

The enhanced ABS plastic shell with two-tone translucent matte paint finish is available in base colors black, cardinal, dark green, graphite, maroon, navy, purple, royal, scarlet, Texas orange and Vegas gold.

One size fits 7-1/4 to 7-3/4. Find the junior batting helmet under model number S80X2J at Rawlings Gear, which fits sizes 6-1/2 to 7-1/8.

The helmet is predrilled for face mask models BBWG and SBWG.

Know your helmet, and look for the Rawlings seal before you step to the plate. Rawlings' Performance Rating™ can be found on the rear of the helmet and in the interior crown padding.

Other Rawlings Performance Rating™ batting helmets are available at Rawlings Gear.

• NOCSAE® baseball batting helmet standards involve tests of baseballs fired from a cannon at 60 mph at a distance of 2 ft, which is roughly equivalent to an impact resulting from a pitch speed of 68 mph at a distance of 60 ft.
• The Rawlings Performance Rating™ System is based on pitch speeds at a distance of 60 ft.
• NOCSAE® standards require that a batting helmet withstand all test impacts at an established peak severity index (SI). Helmets also must survive all test protocols substantially intact and ready for use.
• The NOCSAE® standard is aimed at reducing the risk of skull fractures. The standard has not been correlated with reducing the risk of concussions from such impacts.

WARNING: Severe head or neck injury, including paralysis or death may occur to you despite using this helmet. No helmet can prevent all head injuries or any neck injuries a player might receive while participating in baseball or softball.
