This helmet meets or exceeds the NOCSAE® standard up to a pitch speed of 70 MPH. The current NOCSAE® standard equates to a 68 MPH baseball pitch speed. Made for youth players who generally face pitch speeds at or below 70 MPH, the S70™ provides additional protection and performance for young players launching their careers.

Rawlings’ exclusive COOLFLO XV1™ front vents allow for 30 percent more cool air ventilation.

Heat Exchange™ vents rapidly circulate cooler ambient air. Top vents quickly move heated air from player’s head, allowing 70 percent more heat to escape.

The enhanced ABS plastic shell with two-tone glossy paint finish is available in base colors black, cardinal, Columbia blue, dark green, maroon, navy, purple, royal, scarlet, Texas orange and Vegas gold.

• The Rawlings Performance Rating™ System is based on pitch speeds at a distance of 60 ft.

• NOCSAE® standards require that a batting helmet withstand all test impacts at an established peak severity index (SI). Helmets also must survive all test protocols substantially intact and ready for use.

• The NOCSAE® standard is aimed at reducing the risk of skull fractures. The standard has not been correlated with reducing the risk of concussions from such impacts.
