New Pieces, New Technology Added to Rawlings' Catcher's Gear

Rawlings has added new pieces and new technology to its line of catcher's gear.

• The GEO Chest Protector (model number GEOCP) incorporates PORON® XRD™ to provide the best ball control. Power Balance® technology is embedded into the back harness. Rawlings' Dynamic Fit System creates a custom fit, with removable shoulder caps and an adjustable back harness.
• The GEO Leg Guards (model number GEOLG) incorporate PORON® XRD™ in the knees for impact absorption. These leg guards feature reinforced shin pad inserts and Pro-Dri covered adjustable internal padding for moisture management and comfort.

In addition, Rawlings has redesigned the chest protector, leg guards and helmet in its XRD series with a pro look and feel. Also new to the line is the Blackout Edition, a completely black set of gear.

• The chest protector (model number XCPM) features a new rubberized matte finish with PORON® XRD™. Power Balance® technology is embedded in the gear, with the Dynamic Fit System™ over the shoulder providing optimal fit.
• The leg guards (model number XLGM) are available with the new rubberized matte finish and feature AIMS™: Advanced Impact Management System™ and PORON® XRD™ technology in the knee. Reinforced shin pad inserts and the patented Supertoe™ add protection. Pro Dri® covered adjustable internal padding is included for moisture management and comfort.
• The hockey style catcher’s helmet (model number MCH1) features the rubberized matte finish, along with a lightweight, high-strength cage. A new chin pad design creates optimal fit and comfort.

Available this fall, Rawlings' new Sign Brite™ technology provides light for the pitcher to see the catcher's signs. Sign Brite™ is a powerful LED light embedded in the upper pad of the catcher's left leg guard that turns on automatically when the catcher moves into the sign-giving position. It is available for adults under model number XLGSB and intermediate players under model number XLGSBI.
